Cooperation in action Healthcare goes digital: openIMIS
This gives patients easy access to services and enables healthcare facilities to manage patient data securely. This in turn improves access to universal healthcare and social protection.
openIMIS is used by health ministries, insurance funds and non-governmental organisations, and has been certified as a digital public good by the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA). Digital public goods are licence-free, open source, reusable and globally accessible. This makes them secure, affordable, flexible and scalable. They can thus play an important role in bridging the digital divide.
